General comments

  • Indien eenaangetoonde Salmonella typhi bewezen ciproxin gevoelig is, kan hiermee worden uitbehandeld.
  • Salmonella spp. non-typhi, Campylobacter, E. coli: geen behandeling, tenzij ernstige infectie of immuungecompromitteerd. Dan in principe behandeling op geleide van gevoeligheid.
  • Indien antibiotische behandeling gestart wordt, dan dient deze en de behandelduur te worden aangepast op geleide van de feceskweken en gevoeligheid voor antibiotica.
