General comments

  • Drainage is vaak gëindiceerd.
  • Duur intraveneuze behandeling afhankelijk van beloop (2-6 weken). 
  • Behandeling altijd in overleg met kinderlongarts en arts-microbioloog/kinderinfectioloog
  • Drainage is vaak geïndiceerd (zie artikel Rutjes)
  • Antibiotica-keuze bij voorkeur op geleide van kweek en gevoeligheidspatroon
  • Duur intraveneuze behandeling afhankelijk van beloop (2-6 weken)
